Jethro Tull’s Martin Barre Aqualung 50 th Anniversary European Tour

Concert, Tallinn

During this tour, Jethro Tull guitarist Martin Barre and his band will be performing the iconic Jethro
Tull album Aqualung in its entirety. The show will also include other Tull classics, as well as other
surprises.
Martin Barre was guitarist for Jethro Tull from 1968 until 2012. Barre’s sound and playing was an
undeniably major factor in their success. Martin’s guitar playing on the Aqualung album’s title track
“Aqualung” has been voted one of the top 20 best guitar solos of all time (MusicRadar, Guitar World,
and many others). In 1988, his playing on the album Crest of a Knave earned him a Grammy Award.
As well as numerous Jethro Tull albums, Martin worked together with many other artists including
Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, Gary Moore and shared stages with legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Led
Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd.
In 2021, Jethro Tull celebrated the 50 th anniversary of their seminal album Aqualung. Aqualung
brought Jethro Tull to the forefront of the mainstream rock arena like no album before or since. To
commemorate this great milestone, Martin and his band will perform the album in its entirety, as

well as other classic music from the Tull catalogue. Martin Barre’s band pledges their total
commitment to giving the Tull fans and a broader audience the chance to hear tracks not performed
for many years.
